Coast RTA is the public transit provider serving Horry and Georgetown Counties.

How Much are CoastRTA’s Bus Fares?
The fare for all fixed-route rides is $1.00 per boarding. Visit Our Fares page for details about our fares and payment options.

What is the Tap-to-Cap program?
Our Tap-to-Cap initiative is our new cashless fare program that allows us to cap your bus fees for the day. When you tap your phone or debit/credit card, we automatically limit or cap the amount you pay at $3.00. Learn more on our Tap-to-Cap page.

Is the Entertainment Shuttle in service?
No. The Entertainment Shuttle is no longer in service.

What areas does Coast RTA serve?
Coast RTA provides service in Bucksport, Conway, Loris, Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island, Georgetown, Andrews, and North Myrtle Beach. Visit our Routes page to learn more.

When does Coast RTA operate?
Route start and end times vary by service, with most routes operating between approximately 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Coast RTA does not operate on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.

How can I pay my fare?
Passengers may pay with cash, mobile wallet, or a contactless debit or credit card. Exact fare is required when paying cash. Visit Our Fares page for details about our fares and payment options.

Does Coast RTA offer daily fare capping?
Yes. Riders using contactless payment are capped at $3.50 per day. Visit Our Fares page for details about our fares and payment options.

Are free fares available?
Yes. Free fare programs are available for eligible riders including children under 6 (with paying adult), seniors, veterans, and Medicare cardholders during off-peak hours. Visit Our Fares page for details about our fares and payment options.

Does Coast RTA offer paratransit service?
Yes. Paratransit service is available for eligible riders. The fare is $2.00 each way. Visit the paratransit page for details.

How can I track my bus?
Use the Coast RTA rider app for real-time tracking and route information. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You may also get real-time updates from the Routes page.

Does Coast RTA offer language assistance?
Yes. Call 843-488-0865 and request a translator.

Where should I wait for the bus?
Wait at a marked bus stop and signal the driver. Use the Coast RTA rider app for real-time tracking, route and bus stop information. You may also get bus stop information from the Routes page. Click on a route, then the “Stops” button to see all the stops for the route.

How do I request my stop?
Use the signal cord or tape at least one block before your stop.

Are buses accessible?
Yes. All buses are ADA compliant and allow service animals.

Can I bring a bicycle?
Yes. Bike racks are available on buses (2–3 bikes per bus).

What conduct is expected?
No eating, drinking, smoking, vaping, or loud music without headphones. Learn more on the “How To Ride” page.

Is Coast RTA safe?
Yes. Buses are equipped with cameras.

Does Coast RTA provide evacuation service?
