Our Fares

We are excited to announce that Coast RTA has implemented the Tap-to-Cap program which allows us to make changes to our fare collection system.  As a result, we are making it easier to pay and providing our customers a way to “cap” their daily fares at $3.50.

As part of this program, we are making ALL fares just $1.00.  As such, we are eliminating the use of transfers on our buses and more importantly, we are unable to process our old “magstripe” passes. 

Each time you board a Coast RTA vehicle, you will simply “tap” your contactless payment for a “cap” of $3.50 per day.  For a limited time, we will continue to take cash fares, but they will not be eligible for our “Tap to Cap” program. 

Reduced Fares

Reduced fare options are available for eligible customers (veterans, seniors, and paratransit customers with a valid ID).
